Welcome to the website that's all about Minburn: A Small Town with a Big Heart, brought to you by the Minburn Community Betterment Group.
Coming up Saturday, July 17: Exit 113 will rock the park for "Meet Me in Minburn." The Minburn Public Library crew will be serving a 'Mexican Fiesta!' dinner starting at 5:00 at the Meek Park shelter. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and relax for an evening in the park. Free skating for kids of all ages, and the concession stand will be open during the concert, which is from 7-9 pm.
The Raccoon River Bike Trail new 33-mile 'North Loop' will connect our community, along with Dallas Center, Perry, Dawson and Jamaica with the existing 56 miles of the RRVT, winding from Jefferson through Panora, to Adel, Waukee and Clive. We hope to transform our old railroad depot into a trail head and useful building. Read about the trail's progress here>>
You'll find us on the western edge of Dallas County. A grain elevator, church, two veterinarians, an elementary school, library, and bank make up the town, with a wonderful nature preserve just west on F31. You can get a free cup of coffee at the bank, the big brick church on Chestnut Street, Heartland Coop, or at the library.
All the best,
Your friends at MCBG
