The Minburn Community Betterment Group is working to relocate and renovate the M&StL Depot
The MCBG Preservation Committee's regularly scheduled meeting is the second Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Heartland Coop basement meeting room.
Initiatives include:
- Create a space for a railroad and local area museum, expanded library, and a retail outlet for drinks and limited food.
- We currently have a $366,531 grant from the Iowa Department of Transportation and have applied for another $96,000 from the Vision Iowa Board.
- Considering a $25,000 grant from Prairie Meadows later this year.
