Join us for Meet Me in Minburn at 7 pm on July 17, with classic rock band Exit 113. The Minburn Library will serve something delicious from 5-7 pm at the shelter before the concert. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and slow down for an evening in the park. The skating rink & concession stand will be open during the concert.
Antique Car Show & Singing Wheels Review	Jul 10, 2010 9:45 a.m.	Meek Park
An antique car show group will visit Meek Park at 9:45 a.m. for a brief presentation covering the history of the skating rink and "The Singing Wheels."
"Guitar Hero" Skate Night	Jul 10, 2010 6 - 9 PM	Meek Park - Big Heart Stage & Rink
The "Guitar Hero" video game will be playing on stage while the roller rink is open. Hot dogs and chips are available for a free will donation.
Tri School Reunion	Jul 4, 2010 1:30 to 4:30 pm	Washington Township School
The tri-school reunion plans have all been made. The event, as previously announced, will be held on Sunday, July 4th from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Washington School (junction of P58 & F31) five miles west of Minburn. We anticipate a nice turnout for this event. The majority of the renovated school is air-conditioned. All will enter in the southwest door of the building. There will be nine tables set up inside the door. Attendees will find their appropriate table depending on the school from which they received their diploma. We are asking all graduates, along with their spouse/friend, to sign in at the table and to fill out a name badge. You are most welcome to mingle within the building, take a tour of the rooms and to have light refreshments. You might wish to bring along lawn chairs in case the weather is nice and you would like to spend some time outdoors enjoying the beautifully manicured grounds. A program will take place at 3 p.m. Ed Hill, a 1954 graduate of Minburn School, will make some comments to open the program. The Central Dallas class of 1960 will be recognized individually as they celebrate their 50th anniversary. We will also introduce en masse the members of Central Dallas classes celebrating their 20th, 30th and 40th anniversaries. Special recognition will be given to individuals who have worked over the last thirteen years to turn the schoolhouse into a nice facility for many to enjoy. A history of the renovation process will be presented. A remembrance of members of the three schools will take place to honor those who have passed away since the last reunion. We do not have any formal plans to take group pictures, so please bring along your camera and you can organize your own groups for photos. We look forward to a fun afternoon filled with life's updates being often exchanged!

Join us for the kickoff of Meet Me in Minburn at 7 pm on June 19, with performing songwriters Bill & Kate Isles. An ice cream social will be served prior to the concert (see above). Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and slow down for an evening in the park. The skating rink & concession stand will be open during the concert.

Can & Bottle Drive	Jun 5, 2010 9:00 - 11:00 am	Meek Park
MCBG will collect recyclable cans and bottles on Saturday, June 5. Bring items to Meek Park Shelter between 9 and 11 am. bottles must be separated and in boxes. Cans and plastic can be in bags. If you are unable to deliver cans and bottles due to health reasons, we will pick up items. Call Kim at 677-2112 for more information or to arrange a pickup. Proceeds go to MCBG programs and administration.

You are invited to the Minburn Elementary Art Show and Concert on Thursday, April 22. The concert begins at 6:30 and art work is on display before the show, beginning at 5:30. This will be final concert at the Minburn Elementary as it will be closed following the 2009-10 school year. Mrs. Shea is the art and music teacher for Kindergarten through 5th grade, and leads the band and chorus in this final concert.

ADM FABulous Showcase features fine arts students from ADM high school performing in vocal jazz, jazz band, speech, drama, and visual arts. Gourmet desserts and beverages are served at intermission. The ADM School Board will vote on February 8 and likely close Minburn Elementary. The Minburn school is a great building and has a lot to offer our community. The Minburn city council approved at the January 11 council meeting to assemble a fact finding committee to research uses, funding, partnerships and opportunities for the Minburn Elementary school and property. Jen Heins will be on the committee and invites others to attend a meeting on Thursday, Jan. 28 and learn more about participating.

Benefit Garage Sale	Dec 12, 2009 8 am - 4 pm	Washington Township School
A garage sale, involving the Tri-School group (Washington Township, Minburn and Central Dallas schools) and Washington Chapel, will take place December 12 at the Washington School building in the gym from 8AM-4PM. Items donated for the garage sale can be earmarked for either the "Tri-School restoration project" or the "Washington Chapel-food bank project." Members of both groups are encouraged to donate items to be sold at the garage sale. Items will be credited to the fund for which they are earmarked. If you have items to donate for the garage sale, drop off times at the Washington Township School House are 9:00 am to noon on Sat., December 5th or Fri., December 11th. It will help if you would tag/mark a price and a very visible T-S (Tri School) or W-C (Washington Chapel) so proceeds can be credited to the correct fund. Thank you for your consideration.
